Back to work
This is my 3rd Nike+ sensor. At somepoint I will learn that if I leave
them in my shoe they will die.

Ashley
My assistant Ashley was so kind as to pose for some lighting tests I did this morning...
She said this photo looked liked it was taken for a substance abuse ad. I have to agree..It's moody even for me :)
After her "treatment" :)

Sydney Rose
So over the past few days I have been shooting some images of my niece Sydney. The kid just cracks me up. She way to smart for her own good and I think she secretly might be 15 years old not 8 months as she is leading us to believe.
Well needless to say I just can't get enough of her. So yes this child might drive me to the poor house because I can't seem to stop buying her stuff.

A Late, Best of 08
I always enjoy making these "best of" slideshow at the end of each year. I tend to forget how much I shoot in any given year and this a great way to look back at the year. I really had some trouble narrowing these images down and this is by far the latest this slideshow has ever gone up. The Best of 08 is now done and now I'm on to start work on '09 Best of :)
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

On Wednesday I took a trip down to New York with Leslie Dumke to do a fun photo walk and visit the New York PUG. Leslie is a new york pro so it was great to get a guild tour with her.
Here are just a few of my favs from the walk.

My love hate twitter relationship
So I have been really bad as of late I just can't seem to work my blog posts as much as I used to and I'm blaming twitter. If you haven't noticed my little twitter feed on the right hand side of this blog that updates "what I am up to " at this moment . It's so addictive that is has taken away from my blog time and in some cases my real people time. I'm finding it harder to write post that are basically now just long tweets and sometimes feel like old news.
Don't worry blog fans, I'm still here and I think I'm going to cool down on the twitter post anyway. I just think there is no need to be that "plugged in" all the time. It first hit me this year at WPPI. It was strange/ sad to see everyone twittering every move they made. Ignoring everyone one around them just to see if so and so had updated their "status". You could see folks in groups that used to be talking but now instead were standing around looking at their mobile devices, twittering that they where "talking" to whom ever. It's like everyone is now twittering or texting their lives away. I was just as bad as anyone one. Barely picking my head up while walking in my own little twitter/texting cocoon. I literally had to turn off my phone at times just to stop myself from being rude an checking my phone during conversations or eating.
So today I have taken the bold step and have removed about half the people I was once "following" on twitter . Its not that their lives are not interesting in fact they were too interesting. I just don't know if I need to know about every step they take. Somehow I had found myself needing to know what type of cupcakes they where making or what late night shows they where watching. It's like I had gotten myself addicted to some strange reality show or soap opera , and I normally hate that stuff..
It just takes up too much time that I would rather be spending with real people in person and actual speaking. I may at some point feel like I'm missing out on something but chances are I'm not. I'm going to start to dwindle my list down even further in the next few weeks. Just getting it down to just close friends family , but for now I took the first big step.
So I both love you and hate you Twitter...story of my life :)
