I was having such a hard time figuring out what I wanted to paint in this class. I really didn't want to start anything to big on the first day because I'm so out of practice and I didn't have any good concepts to work with. I decided the best way to start was to keep it simple and just try a still life so that I could get my feet wet.
I felt like the painting went OK ... I starting out with a decent under painting and then got a little sloppy as I went on making painting a bit muddy. I still need to work on it some more but it needs drying time before I do that.

that's so awesome!! I really admire this talent...I couldn't draw a believable stick figure if my life depended on it!!

Yeah ..perhaps if you not photogrpaher. Painting will be cool too!!
how many folks were in your class? (I was also wondering what the median age was)
12 people in the class. I'm one of two guys.
Average age excluding myself has got to be 55+
The woman sitting next to me was 72. No joke.
You could make some new friends. I am sure they have grand daughters!
;)
good start. start small and enjoy it. i could totally get down with that class. when does the next session start?
